Scripture tells us that we do not wrestle with flesh and blood (people) but we do wrestle against principalities and powers, against the rulers of darkness of this world and spiritual wickedness in high places.

That verse in Ephesians 6 is packed with revelation. First, our battle is not with people ever, they are not the problem. It is what is in them or influencing them. Secondly, it tells us we do wrestle. The word wrestle in Greek means to wrestle, or struggle, contest.  It does not say fight but we wrestle. It is a fight but the form of fighting is wrestling, Paul could have used a different word, but that is the word he was inspired by God to use for a reason. You can be in a fight and end it with one blow, but we are engaged in a struggle against the powers of darkness, people who have in some cases sold their souls to evil, and others who are trapped and need to be loosed. It is a struggle that has been won, but our responsibility is to enforce that victory.

Third here in Ephesians 6, the hierarchy of evil is laid out for us. This is not physical wrestling, of course, it is spiritual. Every battle is spiritual, it is never natural, and there are entities operating that want to kill, steal, and destroy you, your family, and our Nation. God uses people to accomplish His Kingdom work, the devil also uses people to try and accomplish his work.

This is not a dissertation on this, here is the point. There is a war going on for this nation, the devil and his minions want to destroy this nation, they want to destroy you. There are several reasons but one is the United States as imperfect as it is, has always been a beacon sending out the Gospel around the world. The Gospel is all that can change the heart of man. Not philosophy or religion or education, the Gospel, the Good News. If this Nation fails, so goes the world.

On to the point, instead of moaning and groaning about our gov’t at the Federal and State levels especially, but even at the county and city levels as well. We, that is believers, those who know Christ, not about Christ need to rise up and exercise authority over the forces of hell.

Matthew 16:19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

The Keys have been given to the Church and the Church for the most part has failed to use the Keys. Keys lock and unlock things, we as the Church need to bind up the forces of hell that are operating in the lives of the men and women who are in gov’t at all levels. We need to take our God-given authority and command them to stop, bind them here on earth and they will be bound in heaven. We need to also pray for the fear of God to fall upon these people. If the men and women are not willing to repent and change, and by that stop allowing the forces of darkness to rule their lives, we pray them out of office. They can simply resign and walk away or be carried out feet first. They need to know that can, and will be done if they do not comply.

This is not a one-time prayer, not a one-time activity but continues until it changes. God is waiting on the Church to act like the Church, the Church is not waiting on God. The Church-the Body of Christ is the strongest force in this world, greater than any natural gov’t or president or leader of any country or entity.

You may not agree and you may not like this, but the condition of our nation and the nations of the world is because of the Church not acting like the Church it is, not waiting to become.

We need to be about the Father’s business, that is Kingdom business while it is day for the night cometh when no man can work.

Prayer:
Father, we come to you today in the name of your Son the Lord Jesus Christ who sits at your right hand. Father, we come knowing that we have been endued with power and authority from on high, we come knowing Sir that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers and rulers of darkness and spiritual wickedness in high places. Our fight is not against people, it’s not against flesh and blood, it’s against spiritual entities that are arrayed against us. Father you did not leave us powerless, you did not leave us without weapons to deal with them. We have your Word, the Blood of Jesus, we have the Name of Jesus, the name that is above every name not only on earth but also in heaven and under the earth. Father, in Matthew 16:19 Jesus said; He gave us the keys of the Kingdom and whatsoever we shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatsoever we shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. So, Father, we come today with boldness and confidence because of the Blood of Jesus and we bind the forces of darkness, we bind the principalities and powers, we bind the rulers of darkness and spiritual wickedness in high places. Father, we demand in the name of Jesus that they stop operating through those who are supposed to represent us in our federal and state government, as well as in our counties and cities. Lord, we bind these entities in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and we speak against them and we say to them, you must desist and stop In The Name of The Lord, we plead the blood of Christ against you and we say to you cannot have our nation or the nations of the world we stand against you and we say to you desist and cease now in the name of Jesus. Father we pray that the fear of God would fall upon every one of these people who are supposed to represent us in our federal, state, county, and city governments but who are choosing not to, Lord we pray also that if they will not repent and they will not cease and stop and turn from their wicked ways that Father one of three things will happen, they will be voted out, or they will either just quit and walk away or Father they will be carried out if they resist. We are not praying for their destruction or for the loss of their souls but we are praying Father that in the name of Jesus, they desist in their operations of trying to destroy this, Nation. We bind the forces of Darkness behind them, we bind the powers of Satan and Father we know that Jesus was manifested to destroy, to dissolve the works of the devil, we know that when we pray in accordance with your will that you hear us and when we know that you hear us, Sir, we know that we have the petitions that we have desired of you.

And Father let us say now that we ask for forgiveness, we ask for your Mercy and Grace Lord for us as the Church, as the Body of Christ for not rising up long before now and taking our rightful place and taking the position that you gave us. Exercising dominion and authority over the powers of hell and doing what we were supposed to do, forgive us Lord for failing to follow your directive.

Lord, we ask that you work through your Church and move because we speak your Word, we speak the Name of Jesus over Washington DC, we speak the Name of Jesus Father not only for the Congress and the Senate but also the Supreme Court, the Department of Defense, Dept of Justice, for the FBI and the CIA and all the other entities and all the government Lord no matter what level they are, we speak over them and we command the powers of Darkness to stop operating through these people and Father we believe, we don’t just pray, we don’t just say words, Lord we believe that you hear and answer our prayer. Deliver this nation Father we pray in Jesus’ Name, amen.
